Ovaries don't produce eggs. All your eggs where made in the ovaries before you were born. You realease these after you hit puberty. Near menopause the release may slow. If the release has slowed but there are eggs left fertility meds can help. If the eggs have stopped you have no more and can't make any. If you are still young you have probably stopped ovulating but still have eggs. This can be corrected with medication. Or you may have a simple reason you have stopped ovulating and that can be corrected. We will sometimes stop ovulating when malnourished, stressed, unhealthy or very overweight.

Fertility drugs can help if they still contain eggs and just aren't releasing them during the normal menstrual cycle.

If the ovaries do not contain any viable eggs, then finding an egg donor is an option (assuming the mother-to-be can still carry a child).
