Though I'm not, I don't really care.Whether u call me crazy or insult me or wat, it's not gonna change the truth.
This world is not going to last much longer, we are destroying ourselves drug by drug, hate by hate, and burning wisdom as we drive our technolgy further into dependency. Strangely enough, I'm not scared I don't think i could manage to live on this indescribably horrible mound of rock and dirt we call our home
i can't manage to hear the stories of lives ruined, of murders, of rapes, of drugies, of alchoholics, of whores, of divorces, of young
pregnancies, of hatred, of abuse, of loneliness, of torture, of love for money, of racism, of intolerance, of such sadness no weight can measure of war, innocent lives lose for a cause that will never be, for peace.....what an irony, to fight war for peace. Peace will never be. We've dug the hole too deep, cried the well too dry. No...we've destroyed all remaining hope for a peaceful world, and we don't even care. We shrug off our mistakes as if they didn't even exist, shrugging ourselves deeper into the pit of hopelessness. Oh, how i mourn the death of society, the loss of goodness. How hard it is to find decency in this world when only years ago it could be found around every corner. I only wish I could get my point through to people, show them what they've done. Our Earth, our home....we've destroyed it, we've destroyed ourselves. How my soul aches, and aches, and aches.

If you want to get your point through to people, maybe you should become a public speaker...work with children...work with the environment...become a psychologist. People can say that they don't like what's happening to the world, and they are the ones who have to change it. Start small, with one person, then work your way up to a bigger crowd. But you can't make a person change their views, you just have to be an example for others and maybe they will follow your lead. The Earth is not gone yet, there is still time to save it.

Wow. Sounds pretty deep and cynical for an LDS teenager. It is human nature to destroy ourselves to survive in this day and age but not everyone is the same. God knows who you are and what your true calling is here on earth (that's what I call this rock and dirt) and it sounds to me- despite your young age- you have a good idea as well. If you serve your purpose and serve it well, none of this will ever matter to you, your family, or your posterity. And you will have been the light for so many to see beyond your days. The greatest thing about all this tragedy is that you can utilize the outcome of all these mistakes as leaning, growing, and teaching tools to help reach those who otherwise could not have been. It's unfair of yourself to carry such a heavy burden on your shoulders- why not let God do it for a while and ask Him what He wants of you right now??

Hope this helps-

Anthony

i feel the same way a lot of times....and it's not like ignoring it in order to try to feel happier will change the fact, but if every person, one person at a time if need be, would change the way they act--by example help the goodness and decency get back, then there is a bit of hope. since you are able to feel the deeper thoughts, the pathos of life, you also have the capacity to feel the deeper pleasures in life as well. i hope that this week will bring for you some unexpected treasures in humanity, friendships, random acts of kindness, smiles from strangers. i hope you will see through fresh eyes a few ways that you personally can be a light in the darkness....and some relief from the heartaches. peace & love.

So your giving into all the horriblenesses you have listed? We aren't fighting for peace, were an armed presence in front of those who are fighting against people who think their way is the only way to live with conflict. I had to stop going to Church because tears would run down my face into my beard for no obvious reason, but I haven't stopped helping others find peace just because I have no affiliation with mans structures. Nor do you need to be overwhelmed because your point is not heard, its by example that people change, so set the example, don't give up.

Don't think that everything bad is occuring now and that before everything was perfect. Simply now there are more people, more technologies, and everthing is evoluating faster.
There have been abominations all the time in the history, and everybody at its place must fight to obtain a better world.

Hey,
I noticed you are a Mormon from a previous question, and you sound like you enjoy discussing it and answering questions and talking like a civilized person. I am curious what you think about this video that I just found. Some Mormons don't give a person the time of day when it comes to certain questions or challenges like this, but I hope you will. If you have some time to invest and watch it, I'd really like to know what you think. Thanks!
(Its about the Book of Mormon and the Bible and stuff)

nah...youre right, there is a lot of evil in the world brought to attention due to the media now adays...yet the evil existed long before too...ppl were burning heretics in spanish seville in the 14th and 16th centuries, homosexuality existed before Christ, the gay ppl were getting burned, killed, you name it...this century alone we had Hitler, the KKK, so what has really changed if at all? as a supposedly literate, civilized, advanced society we are actually thousands of steps backward in terms of the hospitality, the humanity that should exist...i don't think you're crazy, i think you are sick with grief at what the world has become..take courage in knowing that there are still ppl out there that do care, that are seekers of good....take comfort in desiderata, read it, by max erhmann....and do your best in the lifetime you are blessed with!

Jesus loves you and there will be Peace with Him. All the destruction of the earth has already been fortold. It has to happen for the end to come. Then oh what wonderful peace and joy we shall have with our Saviour in Heaven. Jesus loves you.

Is there a question here? Is the question whether or not you are crazy?

Personally, I think you should find nicer stories to listen to. You seem to choose only sad stories, try to find some that are upbeat and inspirational.
