i love it!! it doesnt make me break out.. thats why i have been staying away from make up and this covers up my red areas quite nicely and has uv protection... ..its very easy to apply and lasts you for a long time .. so that $60 is worth it!

I just recently bought my starter kit. I was shopping, and hadn't really considered them before. I had the guy in the store put the makeup on me, just to see what it was like. Loved it! Bought my kit. I've heard some people say they use a lot, but I find I don't use an awful lot. I've hardly made a dent and it's been over a month. Seems like they'll last about 8 months maybe? I actually like the kit because I ended up using half of each of the foundations (it comes with 2, mine had medium and medium beige). I've since gone on Ebay and bought shadow samples. The sample says you'll get 20 applications from each one, so that's almost a month and you can get several for much less than the full size at the store. Also the brushes in the kit are the highest quality I've ever had, really luxurious.

I've just bought it three days ago (shade = fairly light) and I'm really soo happy...It's the best I've ever tried! It's really hot right now (over 30°C) and it just stays put for hours without staining or running or beginning to itch like other foundations... and I've got compliments from 2 girlfriends and 1 work colleague of mine about how fresh I look...(and I haven't been on a holiday since last Christmas...)! It's definitely worth the money...(I'm a student and I've thought a lot about it before buying it...).

With any powdered foundation like that, you are not going to get very good coverage. If you don't need good coverage, and you have perfect skin already... then you don't need the makeup in the first place. I don't think it's any 'safer', like they claim. "Natural" doesn't always mean safe. I think it's a rip-off. See if you can get a sample and try it, if you like it, buy it. Don't buy it based on the makeup artist at the store doing a 'demo' for you... you need to try it yourself, see if you can work with it, and if it gives you the effect you desire.

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they have Sheer Cover there. It is pretty much the same as Bare Minerals except it was only $35 and you don't have to pay any shipping!!!!

I have bare minerals & I love it!! You feel flawless, your skin can actually breath. Just make sure you get the right colors for your skin. I highly recomend it. You will never want to use liquid cover up again!

I think it's over rated, and over priced. There are other companies that make similar products that are just as good. Example: I've been using Physicians Formula loose powder, non talc, and I love it.
