I'm 17, will be 18 in December. I've just now realized that a man that I;ve had sex with since I was 14 has had psychological effects on me and I think I'm going crazy. I dont know what to do, I dont even know if its still valid. I dont know if I need to prove it, or if theres anything I can do at all. Last winter I ran away and he kept me for 3 weeks, and my head has been totally messed up. What can I do?

Statutory rape can be filed even after one (1) year because the crime has not yet prescribed under the law. A crime prescribes within the period of its penalty and statutory rape is penalized by life imprisonment or death..

Tell a parent, your school counselor, a pastor or any other adult you trust. Don't worry about whether he can be convicted of a crime (he probably can) or anything else about him. Worry about yourself and your own mental health. The adults in your life will make sure you get all of the help you need and they'll see to any legal aspects, too.

If you have nobody else to talk to, call this national hotline: 1-800-4-A-Child (1-800-422-4453)

The statute of limitations on stuff like this varies from state to state. Consult a local attorney and notify the police.

You are messed up. But as you have hinted that might not be your fault.

But.. I think most statutes are for 7 years.
