Why is it that people like to smell their own farts, but other people's farts are revolting to them?

i dont know, but my farts smell pretty damn good, others peoples stink, and make me want to barf

By the way, a chick that thinks about farts is really cool, most women think they are too sophisticated to even talk about farting

I personally have never cared to smell my own farts, though I agree that others' farts are much more revolting than my own.

Because if we thought our own farts smelled as horrible as everyone else's, then we would be vomitting all the time.

I don't like to smell my own farts. I can however stand them better than other people's. I think it is natural so that you don't make your own self sick. Like when you can clean up your own vomit but not someone else's. Or can stand yourself in the bathroom and not someone else.

my farts are gr8...sometimes....i luv the ones that are soo silent but powerful...and when i release all that power in the car with a bunch of friends they scream...uhhh ok =D

Because its our own scent and that's not so bad because you know its coming. Others are disgusting because they hit you without warning.
