We have had zero population growth in the USA since 1986.Our only increase has been through the heaviest immigration in all of history. Now about this culling out process? With the combination of the two following conditions, in which one most know of(global warming) two(dimming of the sun) no, not the sun burning out but the suns light is being reflected back into space at a rate that can be measured. Right now in the last 2 decades we have lost 13-16% sunlight due to reflection from the particles(smog,pollution,dust) in our air. With that said "global warming" is accelerating at a faster rate than ever expected and with the Earths geology things are happening and changing(for the worse). There's always the chance of a meteor hitting again that will either wipe most of us out or one that will cause heavy concentrations of dust to collect in the atmosphere, in which climates can and will change.It's happening now, you don't need to be a scientist to see your own weather/seasons change from the norm to major extremes. Then there is the social/political wars that can add to our misery. To sum it up; We are no longer in control of our destination and well being.
My predictions is 10 years or less 70% of the world population will be wiped out if not all.The cause, years of neglect to Mother Earth and geological events. Not to mention wars will/is culling the human race as we know it.

All in good time, I think. We're going to overcrowd the earth to the point where something will happen to reduce the population, whether it's a natural disaster, a man-made disaster, or simply that we run out of resources.
Don't get any crazy ideas about eugenics or genocide... although I think I could come to terms with the idea of forced sterilization in some people ;)

When do we start and with who? Do we get to release them and track them or is it going to be done 1 on 1 or will we form our own extermination teams. And to be fair shouldnt we warn the world first and give these surplus people the chance to get of their fat arses and contribute to society or have they had that chance already.

Read up on Malthus, and Malthusian checks - nature's own way of dealing with any species that gets out of hand. War, plague (AIDS, SARS, Bird Flu), Infertility, Abortion, Famine. All of these serve to keep the population down. He was way ahead of his time - came up with these theories back in the 60's and they have been proven time and time again.
