how do i tell my friend that i don't wanna be her friend anymore?

my best friend Tina is friends wit this girl Summer and the girl summer is like so annoying she sleeps with every body school and my best friend Tina is so mean she teases me and calls me fat and porky and chubby even though i eat less then her and is on the cheerleading squad she tried out but didn't make it and she tells every one every thing that i tell her in confidical like once i told her that when i first started my period for the 1st time i would just throw me tads in the garbage and not throw them away in a bag or something ad she went and told her brother and {boy} cuzin and prob her dad that i did that ad she even told a girl name Shinee that i dreamed that i got r#a#p#e#d and liked it i'm not even alloud to talk about cheerleading to her because she didn't make it and it will hert her feelings and i get that but some times she say stuff like i don't think the cheerleading squad will be good this and and she even said that she hopes that i break my legs or have a hurricane come and end football season so i don't get to cheer and well anyways i what to stop being her friend but i don't know how like do i just say we weren't friends any more or what i really don't wanna be her friend but tell you the truth she's really my only friend so if we stop being friends i want have any one to talk to during the summer till august when school starts over again so please can some body tell me how to tell her that i don't wanna be her friend any more

why don't you hang out with the girls from your cheerleading squad...just tell her that she is being rude to you, and that you don't like the way she treats you, if she is really your friend she will change, and if she doesn't just stop hanging out with her or talking to her...

Sounds like she is a self absorb person, incapable of being a friend. I would basically tell her you are going to be better off without her in your life as she brings problems, stress and isn't a very good person. Be honest and straight forward, she will probably not care, blame it on someone else like you, but being honest is always the best policy. She sounds very mean and spiteful, hang with people that actually care about you and bring positives to your life.

Ok so the part about her calling you fat and porky and all that crap sounds like she's jealous because you made cheerleading and she didnt HAHAHAHAA to her hehe lol. and you really shouldn't be friends with her anymore the ***** tells people your secrets and calls you names...uhm it sounds like shes acting like she owns your face so basically just say to her in a nasty way "I've heard you've been telling people my personal secrets and who the hell do you think you are calling me fat, do you ACTUALLY think i'm going to be your friend & ignore it!? you're just jealous because im better than you and made chearleading". I think there are two ways of approaching this: Be a good
example and object when she is being particularly shallow.

Friends are too precious a resource to give up without a fight.

well, since youre in high school... just start hanging out with other people at first... ease your way out of it... ignore when she passes by and ignore her calls when she calls you... and when she confronts you about it... tell her, "well maybe if you acted like my friend, we would still be friends" she is not friend material

dont just vent here...tell her your problems with her and if she cant work it out then just tell her you dont want to be friends anymore. But give her your reasons.
