Everthing is hooked up correctly, but after going out to the router, I'm asked for my password. I accept the default, the application works for awhile and then asks for a password. I've reset the router to no avail.

I'm using the wizard software that comes with the router, keeps recycling the password request. Can't access the internet when hooked up through the router.

The problem could be your web browser and its settings. You can try using another computer, or another browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, dry downloading Firefox and accessing the router again. Hope this helps.

Can you tell me which Internet Service Provider having you use. If your physical connectivity is pour or every minute or while reconnect your physical connectivity then your router also reconnect your ISP so router ask you password conformation for that.

If you using DSL connection then you do first that check your telephone wire physical connectivity and also if you have multimeter than check telephone wire voltage if is not stable than your telephone connectivitiy is pour so called telephone mechenic for that.

if everything is ok than ask your router company.

Good luck!!!!

It sounds like the router is flakey --- big shock -- it's a Linksys.

I suggest taking it back and getting some other brand router.

Your router is defective.

The rapidly blinking lights on the front, failure to maintain the configuration profile, and inability to reset it are good indicators that the router is dead.
