Is it too windy? I've never seen anyone do it. Why not?

If yes, then what is the "perfect" wind or weather?

People do it all the time. Here in Milwaukee, there is a kite store/rental shop right on the lakefront. We also have several kite festivals on the beach.

Some people even use large kites for a sport known as "kite boarding." They fly a kite from a board similar to a wake-board, and basically water-ski behind their kite.

You've never seen a kyte flown at the beach. The wind has to be perfect, but it's not too difficult. A really windy day is the best. Except those days the sun isn't out and it's kind of chilly for the beach.

You've been going to the wrong beach. It's the VERY BEST place to fly a kite. Except when your kite gets wet after crashing.

But, really, it's great.

There are some days when it isn't too windy. I live in Pensacola, Florida and we fly our kites on occasion at the beach.
