Are other woman out there paranoid about their bodies as well? Because I'm so paranoid about myn, I could be at the pool and feel the need to wrap myself in a towel the whole time I'm there. I'm 6'00" and I weigh 160 lbs, I'm told I'm not fat, but I know I'm not petite either. So, are there any other paranoid women out there, or is it just me?

Yes, other women, in fact many women are self conscious about the look of their body.

It's natural.

But it is something that you can change, if you want to stop the anxiety. You can change your body, and you can change your viewpoint. Personally, relaxing about your self-image is the easier and cheaper thing to work on.

Relax, enjoy the moment and have fun with yourself! It's hot in Phx, you should be able to enjoy the pool at your leisure.

If you're 6 feet tall and you only weigh 160 pounds you must be a doll. Here's my advice. Get someone to take your picture while you're wearing a bathing suit and put it away for ten years. Maybe not so long, but for at least a couple. Then pull it out and look it over. You'll see just how beautiful "you were". And guess what... you'll probably still be a complete doll. Chill, baby. You're gorgeous.

I'm so paranoid and I've got to stop it b/c I've noticed that it's starting to make my hubby mad. I'm 5;6" and 127 right now. I just don't like how things fit and I'll admit I do complain when I put on my clothes. Hubby says he likes me at this weight better than my choice of 115 b/c he wants me healthy but can't stand my poor body image where I am now. It's a turn off but I can't seem to help it.

Hang in there! I don't know why we're stuck feeling this way but you are definitely not alone! :)

I am paranoid also. It's because you are so tall, but 160 is not fat. You just have to learn to love your body cuz it's the only one you are gonna have. That's what I am trying to work on.

I think it's rare for women not to be self conscience about their bodies. You are not alone by any means. Just because the clothes on the racks suggest that we should all be the same shape and size doesn't make it so....Don't be paranoid, be proud of your tall, unpetite self and work it!

I would bet you are somewhere in your early 20's and have never had a child. I don't mean this in a derogatory way, I just mean that you don't worry so much about it after childbirth. I have realized that the older I get the less worried I am about how I look. Not that I have let myself go, I just don't care what others think.
