I’m married with a great wife and kids. I never fit in at High School. Even though I had a small class, and we all new each other (most of us were in the same grade together all 12 years), but I never really had any friends. Of course I had my crush on this girl or that girl, but I was too shy to make a move.

I would really like to get back in touch with some of these people, and create freindships that I never had before.I’m afraid if I go, however, all those old feelings could emotionally knock me out.

After 10+ years I think I’ve successfully repressed a period of depression in my life. do I take the chance and go?

You're not the same person you were back in high school. You've married, have kids and succeeded in many aspects of your life. Go to the reunion and walk in with confidence. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself.

I just had a 10 year reunion and I didn't go. I also went to a small school and I wasn't very popular. I just didn't have a good time in high school at all, I hated it. My way of thinking is that these people didn't want to talk to me in high school, why would they want to see me now.

If you are successful now, then you have nothing to lose by going. I would hope that by now these people have matured and will accept you. I just didn't want to relive some of the worst years of my life.
