Most aren't.

This board is not a subsection of American culture.

I really wish you'd turn the question around and ask, "why do people like George Bush?".

It would make for an easier response. The list of reasons why people don't like him is long indeed.

Some of the major ones:

-He's shown zero regard for our environment. Our children will pay hell for this.

-He's screwed the economy up in some major ways. Sure, economic indicators show that rich folks are doing great, but the working class are getting poorer and the cost of living is vastly out pacing annual economic gains on a personal level (it's called inflation).

-So far he's managed to knock off a few thousand of our kids in a war that we obviously never should have been in.

-National debt is at an all time high.

-Our constitutional rights have been erroded by the Patriot Act and Bushes lack of respect for states rights has definately ticked a lot of folks off.

-Bush's utter lack of diplomatic prowess has helped America to become the most hated nation in the world.

I think it's funny that his supporters can never come up with any good reason for their support. Common people. We know you love Jesus and Bush also loves Jesus. Great! What the hell does Jesus have to do with how badly Bush has crippled this nation? Please remove your heads from your rectums and bring something tangible to the table.

And one more thing. All you neocons who call anyone who doesn't approve of the Bush regime a wimpy liberal, LISTEN UP! I could kick the living shitt out of any one of you pantywaists, gauranteed. You want my resume???

First, he went to court to stop my vote from counting, then he ignored a terrorist plot to crash planes into the WTC, then he lied to get us involved in a war, then he failed to take basic steps to protect the country from further terrorist threats, then he cut taxes for millionaires during a war, creating record deficits, then he squandered all the good will that was felt around the world towards America after 911, then he and his croneys divulged the name of Valerie Plame, whose job was hunting down real WMDs. Osama bin Laden wanted the US out of Saudi Arabia, he wanted the whole world to hate the USA, and he wanted to destroy the US economy. Bush has given Osama everything he wanted and more. He has spied on Americans. He has usurped and corrupted the American justice system. Since he has been elected the super rich have gotten richer and the middle class and poor have gotten poorer. His response to the threats posed by Iran and North Korea has been pusillanimous. He continues to let the victims of Katrina and Wilma suffer. He appoints Supreme Court Justices who think the Dredd Scott decision was right on target and Brown v Board of Education was a huge mistake. I could go on all day and you have the gall to ask why people hate Bush? For shame.

I1) We're in a war that we entered as a result of a lie and innocent people are dying as a result.

2) He tries to take attention away from real problems by attracting attention to non vital issues, such as same-sex marriage. (What's the harm, after all?)

3) He's for the rich, his family, his interests, the oil business, etc..

4) He's all about cronie-ism and appoints people unqualified to do their jobs.

5) The way his administration failed the victims of Hurricaine Katrina was horrific.

6) He uses religion as an excuse to push his agenda.

7) Global warming and other environmental problems are unimportant to him.

8) His military is out of control: torturing war prisoners, raping women, and not having a plan for what they're supposed to do once we got into the war.

9) He's against freedom of choice and trying to take away a woman's right to an abortion (for any reason), and attempting to reverse Roe v. Wade, setting women's rights back decades.

10) When he was told about the attacks on 9/11 he was nowhere to be seen for hours.

11) In his first eight months in office he was on vacation 42 percent of the time. Since then he's spent about 40 percent m/l of his time on vacation. Too many, and too long of vacations.

12) The Bushes have been involved with terrorists, directly and indirectly.

13) He admitted he doesn't read newspapers.

14) He knew we were about to get attacked by Bin Laden and did nothing to try to stop it.

15) He tried to stop Congress from investigating 9/11.

16) His number one campaign contributor was Kenneth Lay, of Enron.

17) The Patriot Act is total overkill, and most of Congress didn't even read it before approving it.

18) His adminstation rules by fear - fear of homosexuals, fear of attck, fear of diseases, etc.

19) For those fighting the war, Bush suggested their combat bonus pay be cut 33 percent and support to their families be cut by 40 percent.

20) The U.S. National Debt is now 8.4 TRILLIION, caused in large part by a war we don't need to be in.

Oh yeah, and 21) Since he took office the United States has lost credibility in the world's eyes and is more hated than ever.

Note: I completely support those fighting for us and their families, but not the war!

Because he loves Jesus...Christ told us we would be persecuted for believing and following him and that is exactly what is happening to Bush..he just happens to be more in the spot light so everybody hates on him to make statement...Bush expected all of this hatred when he became president and he is taking it very well... he has had to deal with a lot and I'm glad he is sticking up for our country's freedom against all those terrorists instead up sitting on his rump watching the world fall apart...He is involved and that is good...I'm glad I can feel some security about not getting bombed because we don't have a lazy president!!! luv ya dubya

I could give you a lot of reasons. I'm independent, and like to give every candidate a fair chance. The first thing that made me leary of Bush though was in the 2000 presidential debates, when he got a grin talking about how he fried a murderer on the electric chair. Yeah, the guy was a murderer, but anyone that can grin over another's death, that's just sick.

I seeing people venting and not really answering your question. So I will.

1. Going to war with IRAQ - he tries to say it's a humanitarian thing, or WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction), but it's OIL, that's why most of our troops are at the oil refineries and airports.
2. Allowing polluting power plants to waive their environmental regulations to produce more power. He says it'll reduce the cost, but we suffer by breathing/eating more toxic air and food.
3. He plunging our economy into the biggest deficit we have ever seen. Because he won't be in office when it comes crashing down, he doesn't care.
4. He now says we have to reduce our dependency on foreign oil, but that just means depending on OPEC oil, he rather go drilling in protected wildlife refuge.
5. He does not believe in Global Warming, and does what he can to not impose the Carbon-tax law.
6. Did I mention he went to war over oil?

That's as many as a I can think of on the spot, hope this helps.

We're in a war that we don't need to be in. We're sending our sons/daughters/friends and neighbors to die. We're spending 3 dollars a gallon and up for gas because its good for Georgie's friends. (yes, I know that's low compared to the rest of the world, but Americans are spending a much higher percentage of what we earn just to get back and forth to work each day) We want to rebuild Iraq and New Orleans still needs our help. And don't get me started on marriage laws and health care laws and everything else thats being killed in Bush's America.

Why don't you hate Bush?

because most verbal people are reactive instead of proactive,if you are gonna complain and muckrake from your stratolounger at least study the facts and background research, become involved and do more than vote once every four years,be active in OUR government,WE elect them the problem starts when the voting process becomes a marketing campaign for the sedentary unaware folks, don't take our liberties for granted and don't hop on the politico hating bandwagon if you didn't hop on the take a knowledgable participitation in OUR gov.t bandwagon, either play an active role or believe what the media wants us to believe and start ignorantly hating the scapegoat of the day for modern society's problems. eradicate the problems before they happen instead of hating the pawn of a puppet we call our elected "leader"remember we still have a democracy, don't we?

He and his toadies took an enormous tresausry surplus and turned it into a 500 billion dollar debt, with the war alone. That doesn't include all the pork spending. Each President has been accused of landishly outspending the previoous president. Bushy has outspent all of them COMBINED!!!

He earned a "C" in Princeton. Cheney flunked. Well idiots elect idiots. And if you didn't know his grade-- ever listen to him speak?? HE's AN IDIOT! The white house staff doesn't allow him into environments where he's going to be in "off the cuff" speaking situations. 'Cos he's an idiot!

Just watch Fahrenheit 911.

Did I mention he's an idiot?

Because George Bush's leadership reflects honesty, integrity and standing up for what is right. His leadership is contributing to the exposure of what the left really is and always has been about. He (is) a man of action in contrast to previous men of words. Of course that does depend on your definition of the word "is".
