Yellow submarine. :) Seriously, have you ever heard of Meatloaf (the singer, not food)? He has a song called 2 out of 3 ain't bad that is awesome and might fit your needs, that is, if you don't mind singing a song that was originally sung by a man.

Yes I know you wil have to adapt it a bit for your style but this will show your overall talent.
You have to stand out from the crowd. After you make it to the finals try to be more traditional.

I have to agree with 2 til midnight.
2 out of 3 *ain't bad* is one of Meatloaf's best songs ever and you wouldn't have to change the lyrics around much

"Stone Cold Crazy" by Queen. Metallica's version is better though. That or "Skulls" by the Misfits. Also "Liar" by Henery Rollins.
