I want to go to an INXS concert. I'm twelve. The lyrics have nothing to do with it.

Tell your mother that music is very important to you and this band is one of your favorite ones. Also, play some of the most catchy songs this band has to show her that they play good music. Make a trade: tell her that she gets to pick whatever chore, or activity she wants you to take care of in exchange for taking you. Also tell her that you will be flattered that she will be the first person to have taking you to a concert and you will never forget the experience.

see if a bunch of your friends want to go, and maybe ask your mom if you can go with them, or your mom can take you and your friends to the concert.

Seriously... respect your mom's decision for now.
They'll be around for a few years, I'll bet. And there are better bands to be listening to, anyway.
For now, she's thinking in your best interest. Hard to imagine, I know... but it's true. =)

try to go with a group of your friends instead...i wouldnt want to go to a concert with my parents...
