1970's hands down.
The music was gutsy and not as slick and overproduced as so much of the music since then has been.
Who could argue with The Beatles, Derek and the Dominos, The Guess Who, Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zepplin, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Carole King,et al?
Although...Cream, The Turtles, and the other 60's supergroups run an incredibly close second.

thats tough since a lot of the bands i like have been throughout those decades.
id say late 80's early 90's... There was a lot of variety and counter cultures to make things interesting. Now....bleh nearly all the same

Wasn't around for the 50's, but I love music from all of the other decades. Not to mention classical. Music is what makes my spirit soar.

I like old school punk & alternative, so I'd say (in order) 70's, 90's, 80's.

id say late 80s to now...i am only 15 but love heaps of the music that my rents and brother used to listen to when i was young(ger)...i also really like the rock...(emo, punk & metal) of today aswell. i love Fall Out Boy, Slipknot and The Used and heaps more but i still really love Metallica, Korn and even Meatloaf!...yeh so definatley late 80s to now!!

I think each one has good music but especially the 90s and before.
