I don't think so, but that's a pretty good theory; I thought that it might have been an asteroid of some kind.
By the way, for all those screaming that Pluto only has 1 moon, it does have 3. They are Charon (discovered in 1978), Nix & Hydra (discovered in June 2005). Where have you all been???

No. Pluto is considered to be a kuiper belt object, and is VERY far from Uranus. It was hypothosies to be a moon of Neptune, not Uranus.
Also, it is thought that Uranus's rotation is caused by the gravity of something else beyond it. Scientists still are looking for this "planet X", as it has come to be known. (No, the new found body, not planet yet, is not what is thought by astronomers to be "Planet X".)
And the the_p8, there were 2 new moons discovered recently, google please. It has been a major interest to astronomers.

Who knows......but given the conditions of the early Solar System and the areas in which the planets actually formed, it's unlikely. However, for Uranus to be in its current configuration, you're looking at an object of about 3-4 Earth masses having to hit Uranus to produce what we see now. Nothing smaller would be heavy enough to tilt the planet over like it is.

I never though of that before, but I guess it could be. Currently the orbits don't come vary close to each other but it is possible that over time the orbits have evolved to where they are now. It would take some powerful computer orbit simulations to see if that is possible, but I have never heard of anyone proposing this particular idea, so no such calculation has been done than I am aware of.

well actually it is more likely that it is because a large asteroid hit neptune long ago and the peices formed together to form pluto cause if you look pluto is an almost exact replica of neptunes titan the atmoshpere and the density

¿Do you mean Pluto's three moons or Uranus' three moons because Pluto only has one moon?
