Sometimes my ears hurt for no reason. They almost always pop when I am eating or drinking something. They also pop when I am yawning or just moving something in my mouth. There is no drainage..just sometimes some wax. Does anyone know if that is an infection?

Its been going on for several months. I went to the ER in Decemeber and the doctor gave me some ear drops. I took them like I was supposed to but the popping and random ear aches didn't go away. When I went in for an appointment a few weeks after I went in to the ER the doctor said it looked like it cleared up. So thats why I am confused.

Most likely -- yes, especially is extreme tenderness develops, or you feel a loss of hearing that ear for short periods of time. Had these all the time as a kid.
I would suggest waiting them out with some minimal help from medicines...
Seeing your doctor is too expensive for something simple like that, love. If it hurts too much -- definitely schedule that appointment, though! Be careful with your ears, too precious to fool around with. =)
EDIT: Wait, how long has this been going on? You said 'always'... so -- well, there may be something wrong with your jaw, or something. Ear infections NEVER last more than a couple of weeks, darling. >.<

Your ear hurts for a reason. Around here if you complain too much the doctor will dig the ear out. I know two people that have a deep hole in the head. It is so gross. Later they get infected too and it is dangerous for everyone because it is the airborne virus type. I use vitamin C and keep my ear warm and down until better.

I would definitely recommend seeing a doctor. That does not sound normal, and your ear should hurt for no reason. You may have an ear infection, and that can be very serious if not taken care of. I know a friend who's mother didnt take care of her ear infections as a kid and she is partially deaf in one ear now... its so sad =(

you probably use q-tips which pushes the wax futher down in the ear............go to a health food store and buy some ear candles...............get a paper plate and cut a hole in big enough for the candle to slide into (the indians use to use this method and most still do) place the same end of the candle in your ear, light the other end,,,,,,,slightly lift candle (2 make sure there is smoke) this acts like a chimney affect the smoke will draw out ear wax that gets pushed down in your ear) every so often slightly lift to make sure theres still smoke,,,,,,,keep a small bowl of water near also, as ear candle burns down, snip off end with sciccors into bowl of water.........if candle seems to get clogged, keep extra paper plate near and tap candle on side with scissors, you should see ear wax falling into plate, also sometimes you will see yeast and you will see pollen.........yeast will be white pollen a brighter yellow......wax a darker yellow.......just make sure candle is smoking on small end......place back into ear keeping repeating process......until candle burns down about 2 inches......extinguish candle at this time cut open remaining candle and it will be full of ear wax.........only do this process 1 time per month.......you should have no more ear problems...............works wonderful......i use this process on clients.........

You can take a visine bottle and fill it with 50% water and 50% hydrogen peroxide and flush your ears clean.
Makes a cool bubbling noise in you head too!

No, it's not an infection but if it continues for another week or so you might want to see a doctor.
