I am 25 yrs old and I noticed tonight that my left breast is lumpy I just had a breast exam a few weeks ago and everything was fine. Could this be a sign of my period or of early pregnancy?

Coming from someone with very lumpy breasts, I can tell you that my lumps have increased and decreased according to my menstrual cycle. If you notice lumps that don't change or get larger, then you need to see a doctor. I have problems doing breast exams because I can't tell sometimes if the lumps are new, larger, or if they've changed. It's always important to have the doctor check you.

This has happend to me. Actually what happened was I discovered a lump in my breast. It was tender and a little painful. The doc felt it and said "Nope. That's normal breast tissue. It will go away on it's own." And it did. It was upsetting, though.
