It's a bad idea. There would be no time to play and advertise the UEFA EuroCups, the Copa Americas, the Gold Cups, the Cup of Nations of Africa, the Asian cups, the Confederation cups, not to mention the club championships like the Champions League in Europe. Can you imagine playing qualification matches for a tournament expected to be held every two years with these soccer tournaments going on at the same time? Too difficult and demanding. So every four years is the ideal time to prepare and try to qualify into, as well as for the host country to actually organize a global tournament properly.

No. 4 years is ideal. Euro also comes every 4 years with a 2 years gap between world cup & euro. There are also other regional competitions. It also gives enough time for qualification which takes too long anyway in Europe in SA.

haste makes waste
every body is busy in his job so 4 years are better
and moreover we are used to it now.
it has mostly been seen that coaches can get ample time to build up a team but sometimes it becomes difficult to build and then make strategies of how the team will play because coache is not getting the required player
so he makes some analysis and then hire that alternative player for the team.
you know practice can make the man perfect so as much time players have as good they will perform

Yes, 4 years could be a good thing but it also could be bad. I know 4 years is a long time to wait to see your favourite sport at the highest level but if we had it more often it might lose its appeal. Everybody gets really really excited around World Cup time every 4 years but if it were more frequent this might not be the case. But you never know unless you try!!

No, the fact that it is every four years is one of the things that really makes it special. Look at what has happened to the Olympics since they split it up. It used to be something I really looked forward to and now it just kind of rolls around every couple of years. I like the World Cup formats as it is because it gives more meaning to the Championship and allows a team to really enjoy what they accomplished.

I totally agree, it does give them a lot of time to practice, but 4 years is insane, i mean look how everyone went crazy for all the others, maybe we get so excited about it only because its not so often, but still 2 years sounds pretty reasonable

no thats way to long to wait a coach could get his team ready in at the most two years i mean there pros they do need as much traing as a team such as in highschool. I love soccer and i hate waiting that long! so it should be every year i think lol!

i would like to see it every 2 years but i think thats too soon for the teams/players. they need the practice time...besides, there are alot of national teams who want to prove that they are good enough and there has to be enough time for all teams to qualify.
