Witht he recent discovery of ALOT of oil in Alaska, what do you kind folks think about investing in oil now? After all, we are developing new fuels, and I doubt the price will go much higher as in investment vehicle. I just wonder if anyone think oil is still worthwhile in a portfolio?~

If we had the answer to this one, we'd all be rich. With the volatility in the Middle East, and the unlikely prospect of developing known but protected US oil field resources, it's a crap-shoot. If you're youngish, and a gambler at heart (can stand the strong palpitations that the fluctuations in the market are bound to produce for the foreseeable future), it isn't likely to bottom out, but it's hard to say how much higher it can go.
