Why is this unsafe??

Why is it unsafe to use a tampon under the age of 16? I'm fourteen and use them and nothing weird happened? Please use descriptive information, I want to know if I'm hurting myself. And if this is bad, does this mean I can't swim with my period until I'm 16?

I never heard of an age limit on using tampons. Ask your mom or call the number on the box and ask their customer service.

Who told u that was un-safe?
I think that It depends on the woman, Im 20 and really dont like to use them because they make feel like I am going to leak. But be careful because you can get really sick if u forget that u have it in, if it gets stuck, u can get toxic shock u should talk to your mom.

I think it has something to do with the size of your vaginal opening or something like that

i used them at 13..theres nothing wrong with using them

just dont use over your needed limit (supers..regualrs ect...dont use too big)

and dont wear them longer then 8hrs. 4 hrs prefferably.
