The quote of the millennium is by Jay Leno:
With hurricanes, tornadoes, fires out of control,
mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms
tearing up the country from one end to another,
and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist
attacks, "Are we sure this is a good time to
take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"
For those that prefer to think that God is not
watching over us....go ahead and delete this.
For the rest of us.....pass this on.

I AGREE WITH IT !!!
And for the ones giving you a HARD TIME about where you posted your question........................................................
I think it was a GOOD IDEA to post it HERE...and anywhere else you want .
Granted...this is MOTOR SPORTS...........
The regulars on this site (possibly) may not visit another....
therefore.............if it's posted here....they see it and you can get their opinions. (however RUDE some of them may be!)
this is my favorite category....and I don't go to too many of the other ones............personally........I'm glad you posted it here because I may not have seen it .
SOME OF YOU MOTOR SPORTS FANS OWE HER AN APOLOGY FOR BEING SOOOOOOOOO RUDE...
After all........if you've noticed...she's on MOTOR SPORTS quite frequently...with GOOD questions and answers.
What's wrong with her wanting your opinion about this????
YOU GO GIRL.........POST IT ON EVERY CATEGORY SO EVERYONE CAN SEE IT !!!!!

I totally agree. These times, probably more than any other, we should remember that we are "under God" Yes, this is motorsports, and on that subject, isn't it something - Nascar always starts with an invocation, and it mentions GOD! Do you know of any other major event that starts with prayer? Every week our local track and every track we visit, says the Pledge of Allegiance, sometimes even plays or sings the Star Spangled Banner, and a moment of silence and prayer for anyone of our racing family who has passed away.

What does the Pledge of Allegiance have to do with God? Didn't God say, "Render to Caesar what is Caesar's and render to God what is God's." Even God talked about the separation of church and state. You can be a good Christian and a good citizen at the same time. You don't have to say God's name in the Pledge of Allegiance to be either or both.

I agree with those who see the connection with racing. And I agree with Leno. Apparently Pepsi doesn't. Check out their new cans with the " pledge" on them. They left out "under God" so as not to offend anyone. They failed. I'm offended and won't buy Pepsi.
