Boondocks for sure. The only thing I can try to compare it too is when South Park first came out. Boondocks is the next evolution in toons that South Park started.

I'd have to say the Boondocks. I enjoy Family Guy too but I think that the Boondocks might be the greatest mix of visual beauty, inteligent discussions of socio-political issues, and an amazing mix of subtle and overt humor in an animated series ever. I've never watched an episode of Family Guy and been forced to rethink my entire stance of an issue whereas The Boondocks (both the strip which is on indefinte hiatus right now in my paper and the series) regularly make me see things in a new way. After watching the Passion of Ruckus the season finale I was so blown away by the final three or so minutes of that episode that I couldn't do anything at all for the next 40 minutes and just sat in silence in awe of what I had just seen in a cartoon. But that's just one man's opinion.

Family Guy.
Boondocks was just never meant to be an on-television cartoon. You don't see Family Guy moving in to the Sunday comics.
