Why are the Bulls projected as the #2 team in the East?

Ok, they got Tyrus Thomas, who is a project and won't make an impact right away. Everyone thinks they'll be elite because they got Ben Wallace, somebody who can't make a free throw to save his life. He can't score at all. He's good at defense sure, but you need a great all-around player to catapult you to 2nd best in the East. And you don't know if the players they have can come together and play as a team.

So okay, how would you rank the top 8 Eastern Conference teams?

5 washington

I didn't see the series, but apparantly the Bulls gave the Heat more of a run for their money than any other team they faced in the playoffs. Add Big Ben, a rookie who could be an all-star, and another year of learning each other, and that's why they'd be projected #2. I wouldn't agree with that personally.

Here's what I think will be the top 8 teams come playoff time in the East next year:

Miami
New Jersey
Cleveland
Chicago
Washington
Detroit
Milwaukee
Orlando

I think the glaring team not on this list would be Indiana, but they are really collapsing, as I see it. It's possible that Boston could sneak in here, especially if the rumors are fulfilled and they land the Answer. I like how Orlando is coming together, and if JJ can fill it up as a rook, they should be able to get out of the lottery this season.

Tyrus Thomas can make an immediate impact, but only on defense. The Bulls got Ben Wallace who is the best defensive player in the league. Expect them to be one of the top 3 defensive teams in the league. I don't know about #2 in the East, but they will be a top 4 seed.

Ask the Pistons how much Ben Wallace makes an impact with defense alone as they will slide down the conference immensely.

The eastern convention, widespread, is a lot weaker than the West. are you able to call the different crew interior the east as well Celtics and Pistons that play magnificent protection? Why do you even ask this question, quite this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days? the squaddies, ninth interior the west and did not even make the playoffs, may be the third seed interior the east. the purely reason not one of the western communities has a more suitable useful record than the Celtics or Pistons is because they had to play more suitable video games antagonistic to communities of their own convention. 9 communities with 50+ wins, all of them had to play one yet another many circumstances, as antagonistic to the coolest 2 eastern communities that had large documents yet performed the final public antagonistic to eastern convention communities.
