Men think women are confusing but really they are the ones who are confusing. Okay here goes. My friend and I talk on the phone, instant messenger, and in person a lot. We confide in each other about everything but yet at the same time he tells me we are just friends. We have had a history for five years. However, he calls me when things are going bad, tells me I am beautiful, kisses me, etc. Yet tells me that there is nothing more than friendship. He tells his family that we are "good friends" and we are. We fight but always are okay afterwards. What is his deal? Are we truly just friends or does he have feelings for me? I am confused by his actions and words.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention we were engaged and when I asked for a postponement he canceled. I do know for certain that he is afraid of commitment.

it happened to me also same exact situation you want more and in the back of his head hes confused. sometimes there scared of ruining a friendship with my friend well ex friend me and him would fight and make up and he would get so jealous when i told him about a guy who liked me and stuff and i would be like okay but as you say were close friends so im not going to hide it from you basically my point is let things go the way they are right now and try to ignore feelings because as time went by he told me he was confused at the time and ended up really wanting to be more then friends but it was to late because i couldnt put up with him anymore i was to attached and didnt want to be friends anymore because him getting jealous treating all the guys made me really pissed of and he got revenge on me which really hurt me got with this girl i hated right infront of my face which pissed meo ff and i lost my temper and almost killed her which got him more mad bascially where not friends anymore and we tried but it wasnt going anywhere because i decided to move on and let him be my past which i kind of regret even when he calls me out ouf no where i try not get all my feelings back but they come back and i push them away because honestly he could of had me but he lost me and i suggest you just be friends with him and let time tell dont push him into it as i tried. since you mentioned your engaged now makes no sense how do you become engaged when he wants nothing more than friends?

Get together with him in person and ask him how he truly feels and let your true feelings out on the table. Tell him everything you told us here. Good luck.

friendship like that is a beautiful thing when u make it something more it can be hard to go back
