Your view is also correct in this pretext. My analysis is as follows.
This 2007 world cup will be so exciting that there are many favorites.
Now a days ODI are turned away so much that who plays well on that day will win. So there is no team that we can say that it can win world cup.
The favourites are :
Australia - Their form is dangerous from a decade
South Africa - Their side has the best gifted all rounders and have good spirit
India - They also have chance of winning it if they get hold in bowling department as all are youngsters (nedd practise)
Pakistan - They have a good combination of youth and experience. The back bones (Haq, Younis, Yousuf) of batting are very important for their team to get the world cup. Thwy also have a good bowling line-up with Asif firing at the top.
Sri Lanka - Inspite of their downfall after the series in India, they got into the track and are playing nicely.
NewZealand - One should not underestimate this team as this team has some good bowling attack.
England - This is the team that had come to finals more number of times and not winning the cup. They are in deep trouble as their players often get injuries.
Of all Australia, South Africa and India are having more chance of winning this world cup. I am an Indian and I hope India will win it under the captaincy of " The Great Wall " (of India), Rahul Dravid.
Hope you like this.

No...
Their loss was a bit run-of-luck. 2nd ODI was almost in their hands, so the 3rd ...nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...............
Well India were missing Tendulkar, and if he's there India will sure reach the s/f, b'coz only South Africa, Australia are performing very well, so just 2 teams out of 4 are good leaving place for India.

Yes. On the basis of present form & records. ODI tour against WI was a rude reminder but otherwise India has been performing well. India's recent tour to WI will help a lot. India also has the right combination of Pace & Spin bowlers for WI pitches.

With the current form and team selection and poor strategies , i dont think india can even make to semis. Super 8s will be tougher this time. AUS,SA,England,Pakis,SL are all good teams. It is difficult for india to beat those teams.

Indian batting is notoriously unpredictable. Since, it's a knock-out tournament, we can only guess. Yet, India should make it.

YOU SEE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE INDIA REACH THAT FAR BUT FOR THAT INDIA NEEDS TO CHANGE A LITTLE,THEY SHOULD BRING IN ALLROUNDERS LIKE PIYUSH CHAWLA REETIDER SINGH SODHI AND MORE YOUNG LEGS ON THE FIELD BUT YES WHEN YOU HAVE PLAYERS LIKE RAHUL DRAVID VIRENDER SEHWAG YUVRAJ SINGH I THINK INDIA HAS A VERY BRIGHT CHANCE.I THINK IT WILL BE INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA IN THE FINAL AS AUSTRALIA ARE NO LONGER PREDOMINANT.
