If you love someone, but don't want to, stop thinking about that person. or you could make that person hate you. or start dating someone else...
if you wanna stop hating, think about that person good traits and not their flaws.

To get over loving someone just takes time.
To stop hating someone, well, I find the best way to do that is instead of putting any energy into hating the person just think of them is non-existant. The only downfall is if you work with them, but even that's not difficult. Simply stick to business discussions, if they say anything other then the business at hand say, "I am quite busy at the moment, I'll have to get back to you." The same can be said of neighbors or family, just keep it short and to the point.

It's not easy to stop loving someone you can't or don't want to love. The best thing, but the hardest would be to just keep away from them. Whether it causes you to cry yourself to sleep, you have to give your heart that time off to let go. As far as stopping hating someone that's just as hard. The key for that is to just accept that they're different from you. Learn more about them, try to find similarities between yourselves, and the most important key is to kill them w/kindness. That one really works. They will either start feeling really bad about their behavior or you will make them so uncomfortable that they will leave you alone.

As for loving someone, I'm not sure you ever truly stop loving them. The best you can hope for is that it hurts less every day. As for trying to stop hating someone, find one thing about that person that you truly like and try to focus on that. It may not squash your feelings, but you'll find a way to be civil to them by focusing on something you like.

One of the ways to do it is to not think of the person you love/hate, by distracting yourself with activities or other people. Once your mind stops associating daily events with those people you love/hate, your feelings for them will slowly dissipate.

If you love someone ...but don't want to, just keep loving them
but free your mind of the ideation that you want/need to be with them...and find love in someone else
If you hate someone and want to stop...you don't have to convince yourself to like anybody...just move on with your life
without them being that significant in your mind
