Mr Smith will overtake Mr Black when both have covered equal distance.
Distance = speed X time
t (60 ) = (t +0.5) 50
60t =50t + 25
10t = 25
t = 2.5 hours
ANSWER at 11.00 am
CHECK
2.5 X 60 = 150 miles
3 X 50 = 150 miles
