I did mine last fall, so this will test my memory!
1 disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2 remove the fan belt.
3 remove the right front tire.
4 remove the plastic fender liner.
5 remove the alternator and bracket. (move it out of the way without disconnecting the wires)
6 remove the water pump cleaning all the old gasket material off of the engine block.
7 install the new pump & re-assemble car in the reverse order it came apart.

This is for a 4 cylinder car, if you have a v6, I would take it to a mechanic unless you like working in incredibly tight spaces.

buy chiltons or hanes book or remember how you took it apart.
