Barefoot is nothing to be ashamed of. If you kids prefer barefooting everywhere, let them do it. They won't die from being barefoot and parents shouldn't die from embarassment because of barefoot children.

In time they may migrate to wearing shoes or sandals, so be supportive and allow them to pick out the type of footwear that they prefer. You are still the adult and they are the child, but as for barefooting I think kids should not be forced into shoes except in situations where ettiquette demands (such as funerals and weddings). In School, they will have to follow school rules.

Yes I think so. Shoes are made to be worn on the street and at the mall and at chucke cheese and jeepers, they are supposed to protect your feet, from dirt, injuries and possibly fungus.

Unfortunately, no. But you really need to put shoes on your kids; it's unhygienic to have barefooted people walking around in public places (not the beach or pool) and think of the things your children's feet are exposed to...ugggh!

i think your children need to wear shoes when going out someplace, you never know what they might step on. the only place i think they should go barefoot is at home. put some shoes on those children even if it's nothing but a pair of flip flops at least they're feet will be covered.

I dont mean to be rude but you neeed to really care for your children. They should have shoes on to keep them clean and safe from anything dangerous on the floor. If they dont like shoes force them to wear the shoes.
