She can not adopt your daughter without your permission. You need to do whatever it takes to get your daughter living with you NOW. Can't you qualify for some type of help? Your daughter belongs with you and it is unfair of you to let her live with the parents of a man she doesn't even know.
Even though your ex would lose, he could cause you a lot of grief. His wife abandoned six children and is a Mormon? More like a moron.
You need to get your daughter away from this sick situation and at home with you where she belongs if you truly care what becomes of her.

You still have full custody so you have nothing to worry about. Sounds like you have had a pretty rough time because you don't have a place of your own. Hope that you get on and stay on the right track with your life because if you happen to have some little mishaps in your lifestyle and the state finds out about them this lady could legally adopt your daughter. Get it together girl!!!!

The only way she would be able to adopt her is if you give up your parental rights to her.
If you were proven an unfit parent then the courts could take your rights away and allow her to adopt her that way. But as long as you still have sole custody of her then you should have no worries and are attempting to find and settle in a place with her along with a job so that you can support her.
If this woman wants to adopt your daughter, then she needs to talk to you and see if that is what you want to do. If you dont, then tell her that you are not giving up your parental rights to her so she will not be able to adopt her.

Well you need to hurry and you get your own place and take your daughter away from there. The only way she could adopt your daughter is if you abandoned her and she went to her dad or if they found you to be an unfit mother and she went to her dads. This women has no right to your child and there is nothing she alone can do to take her. But I would say the most important thing to do right now is get a place, get a job and get your daughter so incase they decide to take you to court you dont look like you cant care for her. A mothers love is everlasting and they very rarely separate a child from its mother. Dont worry sweetie legally she cant do anything to take your baby girl.

She can't get custody of your daughter unless your give up your rights!!!!!! Don't worry about anything, go ahead and get your spot so that you and your daughter can live happily. Also if she left her six kids to live with man, she's really not fit to take someone else child

In order for the new wife to adopt your daughter you have to sign over your parental rights first.
If you don't want her to do that, don't sign over your rights.
Legally she can't adopt your daughter if you have not signed over your parental rights.
If you want to investigate this further I would suggest that you speak to a lawyer that specifies in family law. Know what your rights are as the mother and his as the father newly married. Each state may have different laws when it comes to such things but as far as I know she can't adopt your daughter without you signing over your parental rights.
Best of luck.

No way, not without your written consent (that you wish to give her up.) You still have legal custody, It will be hard for him to fight you since he wasn't around all those years of her growing up. The best thing you can do is to get your place for you and her FAST. Good luck.
