Actually I think that is hilarious. Anyway, obviously you guys have a fun relationship if you are both going to read all of these answers together and hopefully laugh at them (because most of them are ridiculous). I'm still in my 20s but feel totally out of touch with the younger generation (like the current teenagers), I'm sure I'd be lame too. Don't worry, all parents are lame aren't they? At least all the parents that kids grow up to love and eventually think are cool.

Did you pick up that abbreviation from your daughter? I have never heard it used before. Either she thinks you are lame for trying to use technical slang as an adult, or she thinks its lame that you made up your own technical slang. It could also be that you said TM when you meant IM, instant message. To sum up, in your daughters eyes you are lame, you always have been lame, and you always will be lame. It is a natural condition for parents. Be proud of your age, experience and lameness!
You could also retaliate with "I'm not physically challenged!", but that would just lead to yet another verdict of LAME!

I think that when the adults start to sound like their offspring it confuses the kids. They probably consider it a poor excuse to become part of their world. We're expected to stay in our old fogey realm and speak and write the long way. I get my kids going when I slip into the Beat talk of my generation. Try 23 skidoo on her some time.

Were you saying it on purpose to be cool, because then that is just lame. I mean you really knows what lame is. I depends on the individual. To some people one thing is lame and to another it isn't

This sounds like something I would do to my kids to prove I was not lame. lol... Girl you have my vote. You are a mom. Mom's are suppose to be "uncool" in ways we talk. But, we are suppose to be "cool" when we let them think they are right...Go with the flow...the kids today are just jealous that us grown-ups have our own lingo too...lol...The problem is they just do not understand it..that is why they think it is lame. Asking this is not lame let your daughter read and I bet she will be laughing cause she does not like that you actually have computer lingo she does not know. lol...One up for mom...

Kids & Teens will always think parents are lame...I think it's a law of nature or something. Personally, I wouldn't say it was lame. Lame would be saying like, "are you going to write to someone on that little keypad of yours?" or something. You seem to know what's going on with technology...she may just feel threatened. =P

All kids think their parents are lame! Once we get down the lingo they use, it's changed! It's hard to keep up with them!

It was probebly a firgure of speach ...
"that's so lame" is usually not really sayin' you're Lame or a Losser...
believe me it'll be much harsher if you were being called Lame for real.
::: Peace :::
