MADTV: Lorraine (cough cough), Stewart, Miss Swan, The 7am boca ____ condo report. lmao. Leelee and Melinda (o my gawd!) Reality Check, Prehistoric Glamazon huntresses A.D. and Latifa harifa matifa sharifa jackson!
SNL: Gemini's twin, Mr peepers, Mango, Spartan cheerleaders, Debbie downer, Weekend update (w/ tina fey and jimmy fallon/amy poehler), and the little girl that runs around screaming "rick rick rick" etc...

SNL. It can be cheesy sometimes, and yeah some skits are duds, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for SNL. Mad TV is hilarious, but some skits go on too long and just aren't that funny.
Fave SNL skits: the Cheerleaders, Goat Boy, Wayne and Garth, Colin Quinn's Weekend Update, any episode with Alec Baldwin and the episode with Rudy Guliani was GREAT.

I lost faith in SNL around the late 80's and Mad-TV does have some good characters, especially episodes with MIss Swan(who does Lois' voice on Family Guy btw) or Stewart(the man/boy)so I'm picking Mad-TV.
I used to love SNL when it first started with BIll Murray/Chevy Chase/Gilda Radner/John Belushi etc. can't get comedy like that anymore!
My fave episode from SNL would have to be "Rosanna-Danna and the News" or anything with Martin Short.

SNL anything with Jimmy Fallon or Will Farrell.
I love them both but I slightly like SNL better. (Weekend Update)

Mad TV... Stuart, Ms Swan, and Mo Collins is freakin' hilarious.
SNL has had some shining moments, but it's just not that funny anymore. My fave was Cowbell recently all time must be Chris Farley trying out for Chippendales, or DOWN BY THE RIVER!

I like both shows, but prefer SNL. I love the shows you listed for the programs too.

Mad tv will never beat SNL. Old school is much better, from the 70's to the 90's. The more recent stuff can be really lame.

Mad TV (Miss Swan, Lorraine, and Stewart) watch it whenever its on.....
SNL- i really only watched one episode of it, and it was the one with justin timberlake in it.. i couldnt stop laughing like the entire time
