Hi:
As 942 said that, Ypops is an option, but the down side is it runs as a server when you start windows as an external application.
I would like you to download Thunderbird - an open source free email client and add the plugin Webmail. It is a small piece of code that is started as a server when the email client is started and closed when the client is closed.
No need to look for server running or not and no need to look for updates freqeuntly, as the webmail checks for updates frequently and prompts for update.
Thunderbird can be downloaded here >> http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/
Webmail plugin can be found here >> http://webmail.mozdev.org/
I hope this helps.

Best answer I can give u is, try to create a gmail account @ www.gmail.com and gmail has settings for Outlook express and you can easily download email to your hard drive. After u create the gmail account forward all the emails from yahoo account to this new gmail account. To open a gmail account you need an invitation from a current gmail user. If you do not know anybody who has a gmail account send me an mail to nuwank@usa.com suject line: free gmail account
