Did you know the French Manager is taking the world cup final to court as the 4th official alledgely saw the headbutt on the video replay, and in FIFA'S laws it states that an official can not consult a video replay! The French manager is trying to get the final replayed. What do you think of this? I personally dont think it will happen, but abit of controversy never hurt!

"I am going to ask the judge to question all individuals concerned and to reconstruct the end of the refereeing," said Mouhou, who is based in the northern town of Rennes.
"If it is proved that the fourth referee used video evidence, FIFA can have the final replayed," he said.
I just copied that out of the article.. My bad its not the manager its a french lawyer! ah its funny! just take the loss and wait til next time.. How many other teams got screwed over due to the REF's.. DEAL WITH IT

Interesting..which paper did you see this in, I would love to see this...Fifa proclaim to stick to all rules so there is a chance..I personally have a doubt this may not happen as the ref confided in the sidelines man and he had seen Zidane do the headbutt so there was the evidence before seeing the video

yea i also heard that the french are taking this to court, and personally i wanted france to win the match, and i also like the idea that there might be a rematch, but i seriously doubt that fifa would allow the WORLD CUP FINAL to be played again. Even if there was concrete evidence that the ref had looked at replays to get Zidane out of the game, the ruling would stand and the judge would not let a rematch. However, if they do get a rematch, then other games should have the chance to get rematches, such as Korea vs. Switzerland. We can clearly see in this game that the ref had called offsides as shown in the replays but then changes his mind and calls the goal fair. If this game were a rematch, then every other game would have to be replayed since the outcome would change the pairings of the rest of the games and would cause chaos.

if what you're saying is true then france is an even worse sore loser than i thought!
ITALY won that game in the first 90 minutes. first of all the france goal (pk) was given to them on a silver platter by an incompetent or bias ref, therefore the score should have been 1-0 ITALY.
secondly, even if france had scored an earned goal & ITALY would have been allowed that second goal which was disallowed, called offside,it was NOT offside.even the t.v. commentators (espn-tsn) said it was too close to call !the player who scored that goal ,which i believe was MATERAZZI,had his feet in onside territory & the top half of his body leaning forward to head the ball.that goal should have been allowed.so the score would have been 2-1 ITALY.
according to a lot of people, myself included,in this day & age fifa should allow the refs to use instant video replay like in other sports.
now,if france can not handle the truth or can not handle losing then they should go & hang themselves.bastards.

If they replay this then, there gonna have to replay alot of other matches. Italy were truly the best team in the tourn..France only qualified because zidane was on the bench against togo. They only beat spain because of henry's dive to cause the second goal on a free kick. They sould go back to find out what paulsen said to totti to make him spit in his face and then replay that whole tourn......
Italy 4 world cups
France 1 world cup

why do they want a replay. Italy won fairly. The assitant ref is the one who saw the headbut and same with Bufon and Gattuso so they didnt even need a replay. Without Zidane they wouldn;t stand a chance against Italy (again)

Replaying the game has nothing to do with the headbutt. The french just need to get over themselves and accept defeat.

I doubt it will happen. FIFA would have to replay three quarters of the World Cup. Then on the upside another WC would certainly boost the German economy...lol

"allezlesbleus" is little bit bitter, but he/she is correct: ITALY is scared to lose! Very scared!
France is the best, they are the champions, viva la France!
Oh, i forgot: in meantime, if you want to see France to even attempt to win the World Cup, you have to wait 4 (F O U R) years, because ITALY is the WORLD CHAMPION!
The trophy will stay in Italy for the next 4 years!
