Save the slide as a .bmp image file. Then go to Control Panel and select Display. Click on the desktop tab, then click Browse. Navigate to where you saved the file, and select it.

While the slide is onscreen, press the Print Scr/sysrq button above the Insert key.
Go to Paint program and press ctrl-v to paste it.
Press ctrl-s to save it as a bitmap image. (Note folder it's getting saved in).
Shut everything down and go back to your desktop.
Right-key click and click on the tab to change the appearance of the desktop.
Browse and choose the new bitmap image from the folder it's in.
You can do this for ANY image displayed on the screen.
