Any info on building or building cost and what type of structure you are living in. I have looked at a couple of sites on the subject but I need to get some real life experience input. If you have encountered any issues with living underground I would like to hear those as well.

I don't live in one, but the house next to us is "underground". It is actually built on top of the ground, a cement dome, with LOTS of dirt on top and sides. The east side is all glass, with entries.
I have known several of the renters. Their chief complaint was that in the winter they couldn't get it warm enough. Another renter had allergy problems that were aggravated by the house. I think it was mold.
On the up side, it is cool in the summer. Not a lot of glass to clean, but feels fairly bright because of all the east windows.
I like it from my house because you can't really tell it is there. All you can make out of it is the chimney coming out of a hill. We call it the hobbit house.

how about 'above ground' that is so thermally dense, that it is considered 'underground' like the old Adobe houses?
