I have had success with:
** 1) rinsing my mouth out with warm salt water several times a day,
** 2) putting clove oil on the affected area as often as needed.

Hi! Ok, I agree with the peppermint oil but there are contraindications if you are diabetic so here is what I always do...Sage tea (brew it strong...i tbsp/cup) with a little salt added...2 - 3 times a day as a gargle. It is antiseptic in nature, and will really keep your mouth healthy. Also, clove oil is great if the pain gets really bad but the tea should really keep it under control. I am at windstarhealing.com if you have any questions.

Lucky for you i have had several toothaches. Believe it or not flossing will help a lot and instantly!!! Also sugarless gum will help soothe the tooth. Both will initially hurt but i swear it will work. Good luck at the dentist.

This is guaranteed to work. Put an aspirin against the tooth and let it dissolve. It may taste bitter, but it will take the pain away. You can also buy oil of cloves at the drugstore and apply it to the tooth.

Gargle with Salt water (the saltier the better)
This will numb the area for a while.
Borrow the money to go to the dentist earlier. Ask your boss for a pay advance in order to handle your personal business. It would be to his benefit to assist you, especially if you're a valued employee.

I believe that you cannot afford NOT to go to the dentist very soon. By waiting, the dentist bill can be expected to increase, because of the delay in treatment. The delay is causing complications to occur and new infections to invade adjoining areas of the bad tooth. It may in the long run be cheaper to go now, than to wait.

Take an aspirin and dip it in some water then put it on the tooth and hold it there until you can't stand it anymore. It is nasty but it works!!!!
