As much as I love the moral ideals and social consciousness of Canada. I know that Canada has never really been aggressive in defense of its citizens and with Bush's new yes man in office and Canada's instant swing from mediator to pro-Israel. Harper will probably end up doing nothing, and spout out some bull**** regarding something about dieing for peace in middle east and having "true to heart" apologies from the Israeli government and consolation remarks about dieing for freedom against terrorism from good ol' Dubya

Stephen Harper will go to the UN and lobby the security council to pass resolutions condemning the violence in the middle east.
The Israeli Prime Minister will offer condolences to the Canadian people for the unfortunately sequence of events.
Nothing will change.

Hey, some people have a very short memory. Just a few weeks ago about 20 Muslims (all Canadian citizens, btw) were arrested in a suburb of Toronto with a plot to blow up the CN tower and behead PM Harper.
So it shouldn't be a suprise that 8 Lebanese/Canadians (They had double citizens) were involved in Lebanon. Lebanon is a country at war, every person in there should know that by being there his life is at risk.

Well, seeing that killing 8 people is worse than kidnapping 2 people I think that Canada should bomb Israel
But in reality, Stephen Harper will do nothing

While I support Stephen Harper and the Israelis, I hope he scolds them for bombing all the runways on the Lebanese Airport. And for not giving us advance warning to get our citizens out or at least have our special forces their to assist our citizens.
I hope also that Mr. Harper blames the Liberal government for not buying the helicopters and military transport planes years earlier so we could use them now to get our citizens home.

DAMN THE ISRAELI'S FOR NOT WARNING PEOPLE THAT THEY WERE GOING TO BOMB AN AIRPORT. BUT DONT YOU DARE SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THE HEZBOLLAH TERRORISTS CROSSING OVER FROM LEBANON KILLING 8 ISRAELI SOLDIERS AND CAPTURING TWO ALIVE. WHY DID THE HEZBOLLAH TERRORISTS NOT TELL THE WORLD WHAT THEY WERE GONNA DO. YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN THERE IS JUST NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PEOPLE NO MORE. TELL ME SOMETHING HOW DIFFICULT WOULD IT HAVE BEEN FOR THE HEZBOLLAH AND HAMAS TERRORISTS TO HAVE HANDED BACK THOSE CAPTURED SOLDIERS. SUCH A DILEMMA FOR THE TERRORISTS. HAND BACK THREE CAPTURED SOLDIERS OR KEEP THEM AND HAVE OUR TOWNS DESTROYED. HAND THEM BACK TO ISRAEL AND THE WORLD MIGHT START TO LOOK FAVOURABLE TOWARDS US. HAND THEM BACK. AND ISRAEL MIGHT BE WILLING TO GIVE US SOME RESPECT. NO PISS ON THE WORLD. PISS ON OUR OWN PEOPLE. PISS ON RESPECT. WE DO IT OUR WAY AND TO HELL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES.

They were Arab Canadians so they could have been members of Hezbollah. Not all Arabs from Canada are good people.
