god doesn't cause floods. excess rainfall in combination with saturated ground does. There's no physical evidence of a world-wide catastrophe lasting forty days and forty nights. There is evidence of lots of different flooding at lots of different times, but no consistant marker that occurs world wide. it's impossible to blame god for floods, because god doesn't exist. (probably at least not in the way described in the bible anyway.)

No, it's not a good time for a world-spanning catastrophe to happen. Don't look to god to solve the world's problems, start pitching in yourself.

I personally don't believe in god, but if you read the bible it says that god promised Noah that he would never again flood the earth and, supposedly, a rainbow signifies this promise.

God does not exist. If you are going by the bible he promised never to flood the Earth again. Like I said earlier god is not real.

Why? He did a pretty lousy job the first two times, didn't He? I mean he desroyed the world 'cause it was so farked up but Noah's descendents have farked it up just as bad. I'd say two strikes is enough and dump the idea of God straightening it out. If God were really what all his supporters say he is, why would he fark it up TWICE????

The next destruction of the world will be by fire not flood. After that Jesus will return. Yes the world is ready and ripe for this to happen. I don't think it will be long now.

He does not have to flood the entire Earth. To solve the problems of today it would suffice to flood Washington DC!
