I think Germany played exceptionally, despite losing that game to Italy. If Germany had played their natural game like they did thru-out the tournament they would have definitely made it to the finals. In my opinion I think Germany was 1of the best. Just my opinion, what's yours?

What do you mean apart from Italy? The fact that they 'won' (cheated is a more proper word in this case) the world cup does not mean that overall they were the best, since they struggled in games such as vs USA, Australia, Germany and France (the latter two the only decent sides they met in the whole tournament). The best team for me was Argentina, they deserved to win the world cup

I think Germany played very well... they played positive, attacking football throughout the tournament. The Italy vs Germany semi final was one of the best matches in the whole World Cup.

i dont agree that germany played that well. i think they played well enough to get to the semi-finals but i wasnt impressed enough with them to think that they should have won the entire thing.
i think argentina played extremely well and its a shame that they lost to germany through penalty kicks. that just shows that both teams could have made it and germany just lucked out. and i still think argentina deserved it more cause a team that can score 6 goals and prevent another from scoring any is amazing in my book.
im also impressed with portugal. though their team was not exceptionally strong, they played well and deserved to get as far as they did.

i didnt think italy wuz the best team. They dived to much and didnt deserve to win the WC. It should have been france and germany in the finals and england and ukraine in the third place game

I Think Argentine was the best team of the tournament.Thay were unlucky against germany,and also due to some of very bad decisions by their coach,they loose,but they really show the class.Argentine was the most stylish team of the tournament.They deserved to win the worldcup.

I think Australia was the best.
They will be there in 2010 and will win as long as they dont have to play cheats like Italy!
