You can now get LED bulbs that look like an ordinary bulb but they last for about 100,000 hours, there is no heat build up and the cost to burn this bulb is hardly nothing!! Maybe 5 Watts or less!! LED's is the next generation of lighting.

Lyons Club used to sell a 130 V bulb as part of their fund raising. The 130 V will last longer than a standard 120V. Ever noticed how the bulb dies when you turn on the switch. It rarely goes out while in use. The initial shock kills it. The 130 V bulbs handle the on off cycles much better. They do cost more, of course you would expect them to.

(get a compact flourscent) or a 130 volt lamp - may have to go to an electrical supply house for the 130 volt bulb though. It'll last longer for you.

Walmart carries long lasting light bulbs, and they are pretty cheap compaired to other stores.

If you want to spend more, you can go to Lowes or Home Depot... but, I wouldnt.
