I’m doing research to understand if there are needs for employment services that help convicted felons who are non-violent seek employment. If you think there is a need for such a service, please respond. Just keep in mind that there are felons that have never spent time in jail and are convicted of non-violent and victimless crimes i.e., gambling and not paying taxes. Also, there are people in their 40’s that struggle because they where convicted while in their 20’s and in college.

I could see some sort of business need for this, but bear in mind that they will be very limited in what they are allowed to do, due to their criminal history.

Lots of employers do not wish to hire felons, regardless of what the crime was, and you would have to disclose this information to any employer that decided to use your services to find employees for whatever their needs may be.

I understand what you are saying. But on the other side are the employers with doubts, especially when it comes to hiring people in positions of trust.

I wish I could say yes, but I can't. There probably is a great need for this service. But I wouldn't be comfortable using it.

Yeah, there is a need, but non-violent and victimless are not the same thing. There is a victim when you don't pay taxes, shoplift, drive with a suspended license, DUI...etc.

yes there is a need for this service. The ones that are not repeat offenders especially that are really trying to turn their lives around need someone to give them a lift up.

I think there is a need because somewhere out there, employers may be willing to give someone a chance.

I've known quite a few who this would benefit. Glad you are willing and best of luck to you as well with this!
