im a young teenager and ive been lifting dumbells. ive been doing concentration curls, hammer curls and extennsions for triceps. will it affect my growth??

no unless you are into heavy weight-lifting or hardcore body building. cheers!

I'm not sure about this, but extreme muscularity in young ages might limit growth according to some scientists. Some claim the muscles wrap around the bones and could limit expansion of the bone structure.

If you are not extremely muscular (such as an athlete, Vin Diesel, p.e.), you have nothing to worry about. If you plan to become very muscular, I would wait until you are 18-20 years old.

A healthy diet, sports and and sufficient sleep contribute to growth due to the release of extra hormones (Growth hormones, testosteron).

Lifting weight does not affect growth. In fact it even enhances growth because the body is physically exercised.

if you have already started puberty then you should be OK with simple dumbell exercise. Wait until you are older to get into serious weight training
