just say i have something personal about me to ask you and i need your advice. then take it from there. My mom said it was ok for me to do it and i'd want my daughter to ask me when she gets older.

I was afraid to ask my mom too, it's only natural. A good way to start the conversation would be, "Mom, can I talk to you? It's about something kind of personal..." You don't have to add the "It's kinda of personal" part, but if you ask her if you can talk to her it will get her attention.

After that, you can just go ahead and ask her, she should say yes. I started shaving my legs when I was 11, (I'm part German..) She'll understand if you tell her. If your still feeling a little bit nervous at first, you could ask her a question like, "How old were you when you started shaving your legs?" and stuff like that.

wow, that sounds rough that your mom won't let you shave your legs. that's a pretty big deal to maintain feminine I have a few questions though. 1: How old are you? because I have two younger sisters that started shaving when they were around 11 and they still shave on a weekly basis. 2: why don't you just simply shave? what's the worst that can happen besides your mother yelling at you for it? I'd simply give her a reason why you needed to shave you could tell her that your being teased at school, your not European (jokingly) or something of that matter. 3: why haven't you tried talking to your dad about it? it may feel a little embarrassing at first but if you explain it to him he can try to talk your mom into letting you. trust me I know how weird it feels to ask your parent about something like this matter I had to ask my mom to buy me condoms at the age of 14 because I was getting sexually active and she questioned me about why and such but you just have to tell them a reason why and they should understand I had to ask for condoms, you have to ask for razors i'm almost certain they would be happier to hear you ask about those lol. since i was 10 ive been asking to shave my legs and after 2 years and when i turned 12 (last month) i got my legs waxed.
Dont be afraid to ask your mom but make sure your legs are good enough for a shave. If your mom says no ask for a wax. If she still says no tell her shes beautiful everyday and mention shaving your legs after calling her pretty. she will probably give up soon.

I wanted to be the same way when I was younger. My mom told me to go ahead and do it.

Now that I'm older and have kids that are preteen, I wish I would have waited. It's a pain in the neck to shave my legs all the time. There's times that I just don't have time to do it! No fun!!

Don't be scared! Just sit her down and calmly tell her that you think you're ready to shave. Tell her that the hair is uncomfortable and you don't like it. I'm sure she'll understand. I'm sure there was a time in her life where she wanted to shave just as bad as you do! Just remember that shaving requires constant reshaving and it starts to get really obnoxious!

You said you were scared to ask. I don't know your reason, but I am sometimes scared to ask a question or for advice. After talking it over though, I feel better. You might want to discuss that with your mom, too.

Your mom will probably let you if you just ask her. I started when I was 13ish.. only because I saw my cool older cousin doing it. I didn't even know women did that till I saw her.

Gosh. She is a girl just like you (only older). Just tell her that having hairy legs just isn't you and that you think you're ready to get that razor out and go to town. She'll give you some guidance on how not to cut yourself too.

I started shaving when I was a preteen. Just tell her! She will understand. Your legs will look really gross if you don't learn how to shave!
