Ok, so which do you think is, better, cats or dogs? Personally, I'm tired or people always dissing cats, saying they're "only for lonely losers" of "the crazy cat lady down the street"...cats are awesoem! So are dogs.

But, what's your opinion?

Love both but if I could only have one it would be a dog.

I've always had a cat because they are easier to take care of. Cats will use a litter box while dogs have to go outside. I can leave food and water out for my cat and go away for a weekend and she is fine. A dog has to be walked and let out a few times a day to go to the bathroom. It is a challenge to walk a dog outside in the winter in upper MI where it can get down to 20 or 30 below zero. Cats will catch mice too. I've never had a rodent problem with a cat around the house.

I love them both. They both have pros and cons. I suggest you take a serious look at your life and decide from there. If you want a low maitenance pet, then go with the cat. If you have the time and energy to spend with a dog, then dogs are great. Just remember, dogs are like people. You can't leave them all day and night. You need to be sure to spend a few hours with them every day, let them outside, etc. I've had to deny the opportunity to many last minute things such as trips because of my dog. I have to be there to take care of her. With the cats, I can just fill their food and water dishes, make sure their litter boxes are clean and I can leave them for a few days with no problems. A lot of people say cats are snobby, but they are also very affectionate. They just aren't as needy as dogs. Also, I spend a lot less on cat food than I do for dog food as well as less for the vet and I have no grooming costs for the the cats, either. So financially, they are also easier.

I've always had cats. I think they are better than dogs because, you don't have to walk them, they are clean and independent creatures. They don't require as much work as a dog does either. You don't have to worry about a cat jumping across the fence and attacking someone for walking too close, like dogs do. They bark at anything that makes a noise and that can get on ones nerves quiet fast!

They are both great some just dont work for some people- like cats are better than dogs if you travel alot but if you want an extreamly devoted companion and you are home alot dogs would be better(but not always)

I Love them them both, that why I have 2 cats and a dog.

You can't play frisbee and run around with a cat, but reading with one on your lap is great. Can't do that with my 70 lbs dog.

Cats are awesome. They're clean, independent, easy to care for, and can be wonderfully affectionate. I like dogs too, but they definitely require more of a commitment to care for them.

I have 5 cats and no dogs. Cats take care of themselves, keep the mice at bay and couldn't be cuter.
