I would take it, yes. Here's why:

Julius Jones, while a good young back, had a ton of injuries last year, making him a rather inconsistent back. With Marion Barber doing good work while Jones sat out, I think Dallas will wind up doing running-back-by-committee this year. Also, with Terrell Owens now in Big D, I can guarantee the team is going to pass more anyway.

Chester Taylor most likely will be the workhorse for the Vikings and more likely to gain more yards than Jones alone. Besides, it always helps to have a couple of good defenses, and while Jets and Bills defenses are solid, you can never overlook a Dolphins defense.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

Basically, you should look at the trade like this. Would you trade Julius Jones for Chester Taylor? Me neither. Also, you would have to drop the Bills or Jets Defense to pick up Miami's and the Bills are significantly better then Miami while the Jets and Phins are about the same.

Jones has been the #1 in Dallas for a couple years now and while Marion Barber III will split some carries, Jones will see the majority of carries.

Taylor is a complete ? that I would not value any better then a #3 RB. Is he coming in to MN to be the #1? Yes. Is Mewelde Moore still on the team, waiting to steal 3rd down RB catches and goalline touches? Yes. Has Taylor ever been a #1 RB in the NFL? No.

The guy would need to offer me much better then Taylor and Miami for Jones. Also, would you want Taylor or Jones as your #2, starting RB?

NO. Here's why Julius Jones while he's never been 100% for a full season has A LOT of potential and if he remains healthy is capable of 1500 yds and 15 TD's. Chester on the other hand has never been the featured back and his durability should be in question. I think he will have a pretty good season but will not have as good a season as Jones if healthy. The other part of the trade isn't that important. So I would say

NO

No! Chester Taylor has yet to prove that he can handle the duties of a first string back. You have two other DST so you don't need a third. You know that Parcells will want a balanced offence so Julius will get his share of carries.

I would take the deal. Jones will lose carries to Marion Barber if he even holds onto the starting gig. Chester should have a pretty good year.

No, the Cowboys may pass more with TO, making Jones less valuable. TO gets TDs.
