How ofter should I give my dwarf hamster a bath?
Never? Yearly? Monthly? Weekly? Daily?

NEVER!!!! its to risky! every book and website ive read says not 2 give ur hamster a bath. i have a russian dwarf hamster 2. i read that u should buy a toothbrush and brush him if u want 2 clean him. other than that they clean themselves pretty much. good luck

Due to the fact that hamsters are very clean, but still smelly animals..give them a bath once every two weeks. I have two hamsters (Traci & Monte) and they enjoy getting their bath every two weeks, don't forget to use a shampoo that is animal safe.

Some critters are not healther from taking a bath, as the soap washes away the healthy bacteria that protects the skin. Before the healthy bacteria can grow back, sometimes, the deadly kind gets to be more prolific, first!
Even many dogs are showing skin problems, from the use of soap, as it can elevate allergic reactions! Our Veterinarian recommends 'NON-soap' shampoo for our Shi Tsu!

ok ur not suppose to do that.. i did once and well it ws not good lol dnt do it!! Put down the hamster lol and back away from w/e ur giving it a bath in!!

Definitely never! Most shampoos would be harmful, if not fatal. If you change its bedding every couple of days, it will keep itself quite clean. If it does get a bit smelly, you could gently wipe it with a damp cloth.

i've always read that they never bath. they are a desert rodent. they clean themselves off with sand. get him a play area with play sand. he'll enjoy it. my son's hamster loves it in there.

I would be careful I think they could get a cold easily if they get wet and then cold

like cats, they give themselves a bath...so dont worry about it, they are gonna stink no matter what.
