msconfig. To get there go to Start -> run and type in msconfig. Hit enter and go to the startup tab. ALL of these programs start up EVERY time u boot your comp. Removing unneeded ones will dramaticly reduce boot times.

Sounds like a lot of programs are running on startup. You can go to each individual program's options and disable startup or if you ahve windows xp, try...
Start --> Run --> msconfig and go to startup programs
Deselect the ones you don't want to run. This may help. Programs like Quicktime, Musicmatch, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Realplayer, MS Office...don't really need to startup when the computer starts up.

Run the disk cleanup utility, delete all the temp files, then restart the computer. After restarting, run the Defragmentation Utility, and then restart again... should be much quicker after that.

I think your computer needs more memory so that it can speed up the process. Just upgrade the computer to 512MB or 1GB and you will see the difference

Go to start > all programs > Startup. Then clear all the unneeded stuff

Don't have so many programs start at boot-up. Turn them on later.

Sounds like you either need to run spyware or need to install more memory on your harddrive.
