No. Birds are in their own class called birds (but most of the time it's in latin). Mammals have fur and mamary glands(thus mammals) and give birth to live babies. (I can only think of two species of mammals that lay eggs though. The platypus and the ?echidna?) Look up the scientific classification systems for more information.

All mammals have mammary glands, which secrete milk for their young. Most (not all) mammals have hair, most (not all) give live birth. Birds don't have mammarry glands, don't have hair and don't give birth to live young.
